Frequently asked questions

The useful details for a smooth day on Lake Powell.

Where do we meet?

All tours meet at the bottom of the Antelope Point Public Launch Ramp. Take Hwy 98 east to N22B, follow the road all the way to the end and park in the designated public lot. From there, walk down the ramp to meet your guide near the truck and kayak staging area.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. That gives us time for Paddle Talk, a quick safety briefing and gear orientation before we head out. If you arrive late and miss Paddle Talk, you may be moved to the next available tour if there is room, or offered a self-guided rental if no tour spots remain.

What is included in a tour?

Guided tours include a kayak or paddleboard, paddle, life jacket, expert guide, Paddle Talk safety and technique briefing, photo opportunities and area insights.

What should I bring?

Bring water, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, a swimsuit or water-friendly clothing, water shoes or sandals and a small dry bag for valuables.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed on guided tours so the group can stay safe and keep a comfortable flow. For a day with your pet, ask about rental options and make sure they have a life jacket.

Is this beginner friendly?

Yes. Guides are experienced and trained to help beginners feel confident on the water. The pace stays casual, with time for breaks, photos and learning.

What happens if weather is bad?

If conditions are unsafe, High Desert Paddle Co. may delay, modify or cancel a tour. In that case, guests are offered a full refund or the option to reschedule, subject to availability.
